This is utterly amazing. At first glance I did not think it was special. This can be easily fixed... A little button to make the text button blink and then the speech button blink so that children know to use it and access it and really that is the only thing I can say needs to be fixed about the whole app just so that children have direction and reminding on how to read the book. I am absolutely in love with the story. First I read it with a child as a picture book. The children described to me different things that they saw on the pages. After going about ten pages in one child asked me if there were any words and we went back. I directed them to push the buttons and see what happens. They were wonderfully surprised that text appeared and that it read to them. This book has taken on such a greater meaning. It goes on more than a normal story. This goes to intrigue the mind of children and adults such as myself. We became lost together reading through the story and it was a beautiful shared learning experience. When going back and looking at the content on the page it is utterly amazing. There is so much information. So much has been shared and you can feel yourself in the story living through your reading. This app has so many possibilities that I could need more than this forum to name them all.

You can work on attending skills, building sight word vocabulary, phonics, decoding, reading and response to literature... There is just so much that I was amazed. The messages was extremely positive and I loved that it showed children to refer to a dictionary. Many children these day do not have a love for reading and reluctant because they are scared to be wrong. This is something that so many might just overlook about this app at first but it is key especially that this shows it can be used in a wide range of educational settings; from students with disabilities, to children who have some problems reading, to any child to very advanced readers. Everything, just everything can be found in this app. It is amazing to use both in a school and home setting as well.    This story just let's the readers imagination go wild jumping in and out of stories like little red robbing hood and Alice in wonderland. While Thomas is learning to read he inspires children of all ages to read along with him, smiling and enjoying it on the way. I have to say overall this is an amazingly well put together app. Every page has full interactivity as well. I am still stunned at everything this has and yet each time I go through it again, I discover something new and find something even more astonishing. I actually can't wait to share the information about this app with so many people because this has gone on to my have to have app list. It has been my honor and pleasure to review it and now I am going to search for any and all apps that may be by this developer because if this app is that good, I am surely hopeful that every single app has this many possibilities for children.  I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS APP!
